Hi everyone,

I'm not dead, and I haven't forgotten about DA I've just had  about four months of complete insanity of life...

Firstly, me and D finished our degrees! I'm now the proud owner of a distinction in MA English Language, whilst he has a 2:2 in BA Architecture. Sadly, we had to move house in the middle of the final push to get our work in, and as we knew we'd no longer be students while we lived there, it meant scary letting agencies, council tax and all manner of paperwork. Also, D is dyspraxic, so I had to help him loads with his dissertation, acting as his amanuensis and helping with referencing etc.

I also managed to get away for a week in the middle of all this madness to go to Wales with my family - which was amazing, and I got to see real live seals!

Since then it has been job hunting and sorting the house. I've had a job as housekeeper at a hotel for 6 weeks and have just left to start my new job working in catering at the University on Monday. These have not been dream jobs, but some money is way better than none, and at least now I'm free to only apply for jobs I really want, as at least I have some money coming in

Have also been developing a business idea to do editing and proofreading for students. Have been doing this on an ad-hoc basis since Feb 2011, but now I have registered as self-employed and started trying to expand further than my local Uni. I really want to expand into the business market as well, but not really sure how. Luckily my Uni runs seminars on business which are available to alumni as well as current students, so I have been attending those once a week.

On the subject of this business, I could really use some help with market research / branding help etc.
